Controversy of the soccer jersey

Owning an official Soccer Jersey of your favorite team has long been the sign of a true fan but with soccer team’s increasingly updating their official team jersey both the home and away Soccer Jersey and in some cases adding a regularly used third Soccer Jersey it is harder and harder for even the hardcore fan to keep. The breaking point came this season when all 20 English Premier League teams releasing a new home soccer jersey this season after 18 of the EPL team’s did the same last season. Tottenham Hotspur are the poster boys for jersey releases.
The north London club have launched new kits for the last six campaigns and are releasing SIX jerseys for the 2010/11 English Premier League campaign. The number is ridiculous but made to feel not as overwhelming as the team has different sponsors for EPL matches and Cup matches so there is three soccer jerseys – the home, away and third – but with two different sponsors.Get in the official soccer jersey of your favorite team at World Soccer Shop. WSS only carries the official gear, we have no say when new jerseys are released.
FC chairman Malcolm Clarke told the BBC, “I think Spurs' actions are frankly ridiculous. Given the price of watching football in London you have to be very rich to be a Spurs fan already. If you're paying for six shirts that would be about £250."
The English Premier League has tried to discourage the frequent release of new jerseys. In the 2000 charter there was a mandate to release new replica soccer jerseys every two seasons but apparently this is not followed.
And for those curious about the two teams that did not release newsoccer Jersey last campaign with one coming out this season, that honor belongs to Arsenal and Liverpool so their fans must be happy.
